Astragalus membranaceus and its Astragalosides

Of two recently published studies, one is focusing on the effect of Astragalus membranaceus on colorectal cancer. The antitumor effect was assessed on subcutaneous tumors of human colorectal cancer cell line grafted into nude mice. The profiling of the microarray expression of the tumors showed its potential as a therapeutic drug. Another publication discusses the beneficial effect of Astragaloside on Alzheimer’s Disease condition using cultured primary cortical cells under β-amyloid exposure. The authors suggest that the cortical PI3K/AKT and MAPK (or ERK) pathways are appealing therapeutic targets in treating Alzheimer´s Disease and Astragaloside may have a positive impact via modulation of both PI3K/AKT and ERK pathways.

Astragalus m. as well as its phytochemicals are getting more and more in the focus of research. Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH can provide you with both, the plant material and its Astragalosides.
