Zinc oxide

Hatamie A et al. showed that a ZnO-based textile has photocatalytic and antibacterial activities. In addition the textile exhibited a promising sensing response. The modified textile was created by direct in situ growth of vertically aligned one-dimensional ZnO NRs onto textile surfaces. The effects provided by ZnO are a new approach to create smart textiles: a wearable sensing without a deodorant and antibacterial control.

Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH offers zinc oxide, besides a lot of other metals and metal compounds.
