Bakuchiol – the “natural retinol”<\/h4>

Bakuchiol has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for a long time. Now it is finding its way into western skin care research as a so-called \u201cnatural retinol\u201d.<\/p>

Bakuchiol occurs naturally in the seeds and leaves of the Indian plant Psoralea corylifolia. It stimulates the skin’s collagen production and reduces the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Bakuchiol also reduces skin damage that can result from UV radiation.<\/p>

The turbo for collagen production<\/h4>

The substance is obtained from Bakuchi seed oil, which has long been used in herbal remedies due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.<\/p>

Bakuchiol has a different chemical structure than retinol, but apparently acts on similar cell pathways and stimulates collagen production here. The key advantage is that Bakuchiol is more tolerable than retinol. For example, it leads to less flaking, itching or burning.<\/p>
