Thimerosal wird als Bakteriostatikum und Konservierungsmittel in verschiedenen pharmazeutischen Formulierungen verwendet. Unter anderem in ophthalmischen Fl\u00fcssig-Pr\u00e4paraten, topischen Antimykotika-Formulierungen oder in einer breiten Palette von Veterin\u00e4rprodukten . Dar\u00fcber hinaus hat es sich als antiinfekti\u00f6ses, antimikrobielles und antimykotisches Mittel etabliert und ist aufgrund seiner Effizienz, Wirksamkeit und geringen Kosten das am h\u00e4ufigsten in Impfstoffen verwendete Konservierungsmittel.

    Thimerosal ist das Hauptprodukt des argentinischen Unternehmens Gihon Laboratorios Qu\u00edmicos s.r.l., mit Sitz im Industriepark der Stadt Mar del Plata in der Provinz Buenos Aires. Gihon ist spezialisiert auf die Herstellung von Chemikalien mit komplexer organischer Synthese. In ihren Einrichtungen, die nach den geltenden internationalen Vorschriften konzipiert wurden, arbeiten sie nach GMP (Good Manufacture Practice) und GLP (Good Laboratory Practice).<\/p>\n

    Im Jahr 2016 erhielt Gihon einen Zuschuss von einer bekannten gemeinn\u00fctzigen Organisation, um einen Lagerbestand f\u00fcr 12 Monate aufzubauen und somit die langfristige Versorgung mit Thimerosal zu gew\u00e4hrleisten. Dieser Vorrat ist f\u00fcr den Fall von unerwarteten \u00c4nderungen in der Weltpolitik, pl\u00f6tzlich auftretenden Epidemien oder Nichtverf\u00fcgbarkeit von Thimerosal zu verwenden, um die kontinuierliche Produktion und Konservierung von Human- und Veterin\u00e4rimpfstoffen sicherzustellen.<\/p>\n

    Die enge Partnerschaft zwischen Gihon Laboratorios Qu\u00edmicos s.r.l. und Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH besteht seit 1994. Die Cfm unterst\u00fctzt als weltweiter Vertriebspartner \u2013 bis auf S\u00fcdamerika \u2013 f\u00fcr das Produkt Thimerosal das Ziel, einen Lagerbestand zu erhalten, indem die H\u00e4lfte der ben\u00f6tigten Menge in seinen Lagern in Deutschland aufbewahrt wird. Durch die Aufteilung des Vorratslagers wird eine zus\u00e4tzliche Sicherung geschaffen und eine schnelle Versorgung im Notfall gew\u00e4hrleistet.<\/p>\n
