License for Special Substances: Ten Years of the Bavarian Export Award

Some awards mark a special moment in a company’s history and stand as a testament to the achievements of a dedicated team. For us at Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH, receiving the Bavarian Export Award in 2016 was exactly such a moment.

Ten years ago, our company was honored in the “Services” category. The award recognized not only our international business success but also what has distinguished Cfm for generations: the ability to find solutions where others reach their limits.

Specialized Solutions Instead of Standard Products

For more than 230 years, Cfm has been based in Marktredwitz, Germany. Our business has always been shaped by unique challenges, exceptional substances, and highly individual customer requests. While many companies focus on standardized products, we concentrate on solutions that require specialized expertise, an international network, and sometimes a considerable degree of persistence.
Over the years, this approach has earned us a fitting nickname: “007 with a License for Special Substances.”

When rare natural compounds, hard-to-source active pharmaceutical ingredients, or complex procurement challenges are involved, that is often where our real work begins. The Bavarian Export Award demonstrated that international success does not depend on the size of a company or its location. What truly matters are innovation, expertise, and the willingness to explore new paths.

The tenth anniversary of receiving the Bavarian Export Award provides a wonderful opportunity to say thank you. Thank you to our team, customers, suppliers, and partners around the world who made this success possible and have supported us over the years.
The 2016 award remains one of the defining milestones in our company’s history. It reminds us of what can be achieved when experience, knowledge, and passion come together. At the same time, it inspires us to continue embracing new challenges and finding extraordinary solutions for our customers.

For this reason, after ten years, the award is now moving from our meeting room to our new Cfm Museum, where it will have a permanent place and tell visitors the story of this special milestone in our company’s history.
