Anabaenopeptins are cyclopentapeptides which are isolated from cyanobacteria such as Microcystis aeruginosa and Oscillatoria agardhii. The Anabaenopeptins and other cyanotoxins are typically inhibitors of serine/threonine protein phosphatases. Anabaenopeptins may also inhibit carboxypeptidases.
