Oligomycin B is a macrolide antibiotic that inhibits membrane bound mitochondrial ATPase and which is practically free of homologs. Oligomycin B inhibits the growth of Rhodotorula gultinis, Aspergillus niger and other moulds. Origin: Streptomyces diastatochromogenes. HCT-116: IC50=0,0012 µM; PSN1 : IC50=1,24 µM; T98G : IC50=6,21 µM; A549 : IC50=6,21 µM (preliminary laboratory results). It is used as an eukaryotic ATP Synthase inhibitor, induces Apoptosis.
