GIHON Laboratories Receives Grant for Thimerosal Supply Security

Laboratorios Quimicos S.R.L. – the worldwide qualified producer of Thimerosal – received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to manufacture a twelve-month stockpile of Thimerosal. This stockpile is to be used in the case of an unexpected change in policy or unavailability of Thimerosal, ensuring the continuous production and preservation of human and veterinary vaccines.

Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH – the worldwide sales agent beside South America – supports the goal of preserving a stockpile by keeping half of this supply in its warehouses in Germany. By splitting of stockpile storage, an additional safeguard is put in place and a fast supply in case of emergency is guaranteed.
