Fish oil

Fish oil is a source of anti-inflammatory effects, mediated by n-3 PUFA (polyunsaturated fatty acids). The authors showed that dietary fish oil is able to attenuate hepatic inflammation and ER stress-induced UPR (unfolded protein response) in the liver of lactating sows. In the fish oil group mRNA levels of a number of UPR-regulated genes were decreased, phosphorylation of PERK and PERK-mediated phosphorylation of eIF2α and IκB in the liver was reduced, mRNA levels of genes encoding inflammatory mediators and acute phase proteins were also reduced.
Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH offers several kinds of fish oils from its Argentinian business partner. Please contact us for more information.
